Born in New Jersey, Farley Gwazda earned his MFA from the University of California Berkeley and received his BA in Studio Art at Bard College. In 2005 Farley was Artist in Residence at Red Gate Gallery in Feijiacun, China. Farley's work has been shown at the Berkeley Art Museum, the Pacific Film Archives, Santa Clara University Art Gallery, Royal Nonesuch Gallery, playSPACE and Flux Factory, among others. He was awarded the Eisner Prize in Studio Art from the University of California at Berkeley. He has taught courses and given guest lectures at the University of California at Berkeley, and works as a freelance video editor, art consultant, studio manager and art fabricator. Along with Indira Martina Morre, he is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Martina }{ Johnston Gallery. Farley lives and works in Berkeley.
